The Most Expensive Bike Ever
15 Oct
So another day passes by, had a busy day of lectures but managed to find some time to get in the gym for a 30 min run and a few weights to get my hand back in, was nice to be back but got to take it easy for the next few days. Any of you who read this regularly will now have realised my life really isn’t a string of amazing and interesting events, more a lot of mundane ones cobbled together at the moment. However I think/hope my comments and opinions on things make this more interesting, I have no agenda here I’ll just talk about whatever I’ve found interesting today, thats it, simple right.
Which brings me on to this little beauty below.
This is the Delta 7 Ascend road bike which holds the title of the worlds most expensive road bike (frame only) coming in at around $6,000 or for a fully loaded bike around $17,000. The frame is an amazing technological achievement. By weaving a single carbon fiber strand into carbon Kevlar spider web-like open lattice tubes the Ascend is one of the lightest yet strongest frames around. It has to be said as a cyclist I want one but I wish it had that style and class of the Italian bikes rather than the blunt technology of an American.
In other news today I’ve decided I’m not very good at being a student, some of these extra curricular activities really are at odds with my ‘one body, look after it’ mentality. I think I’ll be giving the one bottle of spirits a night offer a miss tonight and every night for the foreseeable future!
Speak to you tomorrow guys.
